Since it feels like spring (and has for the past couple of months), I felt like doing a spring-themed piece. I also needed to do an abstract, since I have been tied up with other projects for a while. So, this weekend, I created this spring abstract.
I began this project in Blender, by creating a fluid simulation. I applied an abstract coloring to the fluid and some texture. Then, I did some post processing, including distortion and further texturing in Photoshop. The render took around 6 hours (the render was 14,400 x 7,200 pixels at 25 samples, GPU rendering.
