360° Image Tests

I’m currently exploring how I might be able to create some slightly immersive art experiences. In this experiment, I am using the Google and Facebook VR 360° capabilities. From the start, I can say that the Facebook 360° engine seems to work a little better. The Google VR engine shows a pinch-seam at the top and bottom of the scene, where the Facebook engine does not – using the exact same image. Additionally, the Facebook engine allows for some zooming, and the Google engine does not — at least, I have not found that functionality, yet.

360 Experiments

Here are my first two attempts. The first is a surreal scene and the secons is a pure abstract.
